Terry Tanner

Terry Tanner is a Texas-based country singer-songwriter whose music is built on honest storytelling, lived experience, and songs that mean something.

Originally from Missouri, Tanner spent nearly a decade pursuing music in Nashville before life took him down a different road. Following 9/11, he returned to military service and ultimately completed more than 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. Those years—and the life that came before and after them—gave him a lifetime of stories to tell.

Today, Tanner writes country music rooted in faith, family, love, loss, service, second chances, and the miles traveled along the way. His sound draws from traditional and Texas country, blending acoustic guitars, Telecasters, pedal steel, fiddle, and straightforward lyrics with a voice shaped by experience rather than polish for polish's sake.

Whether he's writing about veterans carrying memories home, faith found in unexpected places, heartbreak on a Texas highway, or the people and moments we wish we could hold onto a little longer, Tanner approaches every song the same way: tell the truth, make it real, and give the listener something they can feel.
